Resumé :

Ce travail s’intitule « Altruisme dans la parabole du bon Samaritain ».  Cette parabole a été raconté par Jésus et se trouve dans la Bible,  dans l’évangile de Luc 10 :25-37. Cette étude est centrée sur la présentation et la description  des comportements altruistes manifestés par le Samaritain dans la parabole. Cette étude s’est aussi focalisée sur les réalités culturelles qui justifient certaines réactions des personnages dans la parabole. Pour analyser cette parabole nous avons appliqué l’approche textuelle et contextuelle. Nous avions aussi tenu compte de son sens littéraire  ainsi que son sens figuré dans son interprétation. L’analyse de cette parabole a révélée que les comportements altruistes sont efficaces et capables de transformer les personnes et de créer un monde où règnent la joie et la paix.

Abstract :

This paper is entitled “Altruism in the Parable of the Good Samaritan”. It is a parable narrated by Jesus and recorded in the Bible in Luke 10:25-37. The study focuses on the presentation and description of altruistic performances demonstrated by the Samaritan in the parable. The paper has also studied the setting, both temporal and cultural which have affected characters’ personalities and reactions. To deal successfully with this piece of writing I have applied textual and contextual approaches. Moreover, the interpretation of the parable has started from its literal sense to its figurative meaning. The analysis of the parable has revealed that altruistic actions are strong enough to transform people and create a world of joy and happiness.
